The Game Of Thrones – Characters Poster

The Major Characters In The Game Of Thrones

The Major Characters In The Game Of Thrones

Wanted to write a post about the woman of Game of Thrones, but ran out of time as I have a plane to catch. So will have to push it back to Monday if I do the write up on the plane, or most likely Tuesday since it’s a 20 hour flight. The theme of the post is simple – Why woman should read and watch Game of Thrones – It features the strongest female cast in the fantasy realm, if not the entire fictional realm in both TV and books outside of dominatrix fetishes . Remember – Cast, not just female lead.

From Left:

  • King Joffrey Baratheon and his Lady-In-Waiting Margaery Tyrell
  • The Late King Robert Baratheon and his Queen Cersei Lannister
  • The Late Khal Drago, and his Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen,
  • Robb Stark, King Of The North, and his mother-prisoner Lady Catelyn Stark
  • The King Slayer Jamie Lannister, and his guard Brienne Of Tarth
  • The Late King’s Brother, Stannis Baratheon, and his Witch and Council Meslisandre
  • “Littlefinger” Petyr Baelish & The Dumped-As-Queen Sansa Stark
  • Jon Snow Of The Wall & His Wildling Captor Yigrette
  • The Former King’s Hand Tyrion Lannister & His Lady Shae
  • Theon Greyjoy & The Wilding Osha

All titles present to current season of Game Of Thrones Season Three Episode 2.

Any how, the reason why I am unable to finish the post on time, is because that Poster above took me some 2 hours to assemble from Google Images. Surprisingly, there are no group shots of the Games of Thrones cast on the web. Even if you justify it by saying because most of the characters lead separate story lines, I still think some fan service is in order.

For now, I leave you with a teaser of what the post is about.

If you want to use the pic, be my guest. Credit would be nice though naturally. If you want me to edit it to include others or remove some, let me know as well. E.g. most probably some of you would like to see Ned Stark or even Bran inside. On the female side, I’m missing Arya Stark and Greyjoy’s sister. Might replace the Wildling girl Osha with the sea-faring princess.  I intend to do some other things to it. The two new characters that appeared with Bran… I’ll wait till their role gets fleshed out in the later part of the story.

This will be my last post for a while. Till my next one, I bid you adieu. See you on the other side of the globe.

Prompt: The Lady Butterfly

Vovage De La Vie

Voyage de la Vie is the story of a young man on a magical journey through a fantasy world to find his true destiny. This exciting theatrical spectacular at the Festive Grand Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa is Singapore’s longest running show and Time Out Singapore’s Best Theatre Production of 2011.

This is a photo that I took sometime back. This beautiful creature was out and about, posing for photos with the thousands of tourists that throng the attraction everyday. I was mesmerised by her costume and took a picture as she walked pass. Unfortunately, she never once looked at me. That same day, I had the opportunity to watch the show that she was promoting, Voyage de la Vie. And lo and behold, apparently she was no longer part of the show. Me and my friends were quite miffed about that, and that experience stayed on in my head.

So I decided to write a story about it.

The Lady Butterfly

It had been eight years since I took this photo. Eight years since the day I saw her wings, blooming like a rose with that dazzling smile. And for the last eight years, I have been searching, looking for the butterfly who stole my heart.

I remembered it was hot that day, the kind of sticky humid hot that makes you want to stay in the shade. But the circus had come, and the sign had said, “For one night only, why not come and have some fun.” I was reluctant to go, but they made me anyway, the friends who worried for me and told me to have some fun. I was glad they did, because that night, I finally forgot about Judy.

That afternoon, we walked towards the circus tent, squeezing through a crowd hellbent on having their photo taken with every clown and bearded lady along the way. They were all happy, smiling away as the cameras went snap snap snap. And that made me sick and want to go away.

Then I spotted her, the beautiful creature coming from beyond the curtained gate. “Look! It’s the star of Voyage De La Vie!” a mother whispered, as the children looked on in awe at the butterfly dancing pass. With rose-petalled wings, she flitted through the crowd, sprinkling stardust and glitter, spreading circus magic through the air.

Allegiance: Blood Of Kings

There was a knock on the door.

“We’ve got a problem my lordship. Best if ya come and take a look.”

“Get Patrick, I’m busy!”

“Lord Patrick is the problem sire. He’s send me up here to get ya.”

“What! Ah… Ahhhh…. Hold on, I’m coming.” Erik shouted. “Get off me will ya, didn’t you hear what said!”

“Dammnit, what about me!” Marie shouted.

“I could get William out there to keep ya warm,” the prince grinned, rolling the buxom wench to the side so that he could put on his pants.

“I said I’m coming! Jesus, it’s not the end of the world.” Erik replied, tucking his shirt tails into his pants. Turning around, he planted a kiss on the lips of his pouting mistress.

“I was only joking Marie. Here, help yourself to some wine,” he said, unlocking the cabinet to his private collection with the key around his neck.

Instantly, Marie’s frown changed into a smile. She loved wine, almost as much as she loved the prince. “So same time tomorrow, m’lord?” she asked as the poured herself a goblet.

“No, you stay below. The archbishop is coming to visit, so the nobles will be having dinner in the great hall. Can’t have them gossiping about their prince now, can we?”

“Oh, alright then,” she said in mock disappointment, “I’ll just wait until they’re all asleep.”

“You little devil,” Erik grinned, giving her a playful squeeze before opening the door.

“Come quickly m’lord. Lord Patrick said it’s a matter of utmost urgency. He…” Suddenly, William forgot what he was going to say. He was looking at Marie standing beside the cabinet, stark naked except for the wine in hand.

“For heaven’s sake, show a little decency Marie.” Erik shouted as he looked back. Then, with a mighty swing of his hand, he struck William with a stinging blow across the face. “And you boy, need to learn how to keep your eyes in front when you’re addressing royalty.”
